That's All She Read has become one of my favourite historical fiction review sites, not just because author, blogger and song-writer Nan Hawthorne reviewed Libertas there, but because she kept me up to speed with her progress as she read (she is blind and uses the latest technology to read) and asked several searching questions. So you can trust her reviews: they are extremely thorough and always objective!
Nan is also developing an extensive catalogue of medieval novels (new, used and out of print 400-1600 CE) - click here.
Historical novelist Carla Nayland and supreme blogger has some brilliant links for readers and writers alike. To visit Carla's site, click HERE.
Monda in southern Spain was where Julius Caesar finally defeated the Pompey faction in 45 BCE, a year before his death. Then called Munda, it is the setting for my first novel, Libertas. Monda Castle was originally built by the Moors, restored by a German entrepreneur in the Seventies, and is now owned by local Spanish families.

AND FINALLY: The Menopausal Gardener is nothing to do with historical fiction except that she married me and deserves recognition for that alone! Brilliant site about our life in Spain and growing exotic Mediterranean plants including olives, a multitude of herbs and tons of fruit. Lynda has designed the covers for Goliath and Cell Wars. Is there no end to her magnificence?
